Druridge Bay is just a few miles from our office, so very much part of our local patch :-)
It's a post-industrial landscape that as well as the sea and shore has a 'string of pearls' - nature reserves created from reclaimed coal mines and subsidence ponds, fringed by reedbeds that host breeding birds through the Spring and Summer, Starling murmurations during the winter and secretive wildlife including Bittern, Water Rail and Otter.
Our Druridge Bay mini-Safaris start from a pre-arranged meeting point (usually Druridge Pools Nature Reserve) and last 3-4hrs.
You can see available dates by visiting our calendar page, which has our online shop built into it to make it easier for you to book the date you want.
Hi Martin, we enjoyed out day with you very much. I can't think of anything I didn't like, we want guides to be knowledgeable re both birds and area, and enthusiastic, and you were. Food was delicious. And the starlings performed to order at the end. So thanks, and good luck. Next time we come north we will hopefully see you again!
